Kim's Medical Fund

On September 29th, my father, Troy, trys to wake up , my mother, Kim, to get ready for their dream vacation to Maine for her 48th birthday on the 1st of October but realizes that something is wrong.... She can't speak. He  instantly calls 911. When they get to the emergency room, our families greatest fear comes true, Kim had a stroke. Since we didn't know when the stroke occured she couldn't get clot buster, which helps get rid of what caused the stroke. She was instantly flown to Hershey Medical center for immediate care. Since then, we have found out that there is swelling in her brain that is disrupting her speech and swallowing ability and causing severe weakness to the right side of her body. The swelling is too much for any surgery to remove the blockage in her brain and it will have to stay their perminantly. As of October 1st she is still in ICU being monitored for her brain swelling but hopefully will be transferred to a rehabilitation center within a few days. My father, brother, other family members and I have been with her for hours everyday making sure she has emotional support to try and get better. When she gets into rehab, it may be months before everything will be back to as normal as it can be and we see how well her brain will recover, because of what she endured.  At this time, we do not know the cause of the stroke, only that this has forever changed our lives. 

The reason that we are starting this campain is to help with the medical bills, travel costs, and normal home bills. The reason for all of this is that Troy and Kim depended on eachother working to make ends meet. There is no set deadline for funds or the end of this fund until Kim is better and, hopefully, back on her feet. Any amount will be very greatful, even if it is just $1.
