Nathans Kidney Transplant Fund

Donation protected
At the small age of 16 months, my son Nathan Gray was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. This disease affects all kidney functions, as a result, patients have high levels of protein in their urine and low levels of protein in their blood.  Doctors were expecting Nathan to grow out of it through his toddler’s years, but he didn’t. It continued through his toddler, teen, and adulthood years, and as of today there is no known cure. This syndrome has affected my son in ways no child should go through. I have seen my baby boy go in and out of hospitals all of his life, he has had two blood transfusions, as well as fluid drained from his body and lungs more times than I could count. My son has had to endure more pain than I could ever explain. On January 6, 2017 Nathan went into cardiac arrest, his heart stopped beating for  20 seconds. No parent should ever have to experience what my family and I had to go through that day. The feeling of panic and hopelessness as you see your child’s life slipping away. Those lucky enough to know Nathan would agree that he has the most beautiful smile, a smile that can not only light up a room but change your day completely. He has a light in him like no other,  he inspires me day by day with his strength and his positive outlook on life, he is the most caring genuine kind hearted person you will ever meet. Nathan has had to give up so much during his young life, graduating high school, attending prom, playing sports, and missing out in the memories that all teenagers get to experience. On of January 6, 2017 my son Nathan went

into renal failure his kidneys no longer are able to remove waste from his blood, due to this he has been placed on dialysis and now is now awaiting a kidney transplant. His insurance will cover the majority of his transplant, but not all. I now have the ability to help my son have a better quality of life by raising the remaining funds that are needed to ensure lodging, transportation, clinic fees, etc.,  for the 4-6 weeks we need to live in San Diego, which Has to be secure for him to remain on the transplant list . My family and I need to raise $10,000 by the time a living donor is matched or deceased donor is found.  Thank-you for your time an consideration in reading about my family
