Delta Chi Flood Damage Fund

Alumni, Parents and Friends,
On September 10, 2014 the Truman State Delta Chi Chapter House basement flooded after a failed sump pump and about 10 inches of rain in a matter of hours. Insurance will not cover the damage but the mold and other water damage has made the six bedrooms unlivable. We are currently removing the mold and remodeling two of the bedrooms with our limited chapter funds but will need assistance to work on any further repairs.
Our chapter is known for its brotherhood and looking out for one another and within a day we had found suitable temporary arrangements for all of our displaced brothers, but I know they would love their own bedrooms back as soon as possible. We have already committed countless hours and are prepared to work together to fix up the entire basement by December when two of our brothers move back in from study abroad and military semesters.
We have already received support from our Alumni Board of Trustees and are now counting on your support to help replace the remaining bedrooms at around $1000 per room plus the common areas, closets, bathroom, and kitchen. Brothers and any willing alumni will put the rooms together with the supplies funded through this page or donations received on our website, www.tsudeltachi.com.
If you are interested in helping put a room together ABT has set Homecoming, October 10-11 as a likely time where anyone is welcome to come up and help with renovations, especially if you have any experience in drywall, flooring, or any other needed expertise.
