Luna’s Leg Surgery

On Wednesday we adopted our beautiful puppy Luna from animal control. The very same day our cat got extremely sick and passed away late that night at the emergency vet. Yesterday, Luna ran full speed through the yard, went to hop onto the deck and ran into it instead. She sustained severe injuries to her leg: two fractures near her growth plate causing complications and a chip at her elbow. Because it is such a complicated break it meant a trip to the ER where we learned she will likely be at risk of amputation unless she undergoes surgery before her bones heal incorrectly. Through our vet, we found a more affordable and wonderful surgeon who saw her today and insisted that we schedule surgery on Monday in order to give her the best possible chance of recovery. Having already spent a good deal of money in a matter of two days, and dealing with the loss of one pet and a big injury to our new puppy, we need some help paying for her unexpected surgery. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated!!!
