Single mom hit by a drunk driver

I sincerely didn't want to do this but I'm coming up to brick walls on almost every front. On Saturday November 4th, I was hit by a drunk driver on the way home from work at 2 in the morning. They decided to try to get on the freeway illegally right in front of me any T-boned my car. The accident was for horrific. My ankle and wrist are broken. I have a 4 inch laceration above my right hip just above my femoral artery. I was cut out of my car and rushed to the emergency room. The two other people in the driver's car were cut out as well. He went to jail.

Being single mom I'm the only one in my children's lives to provide. I'm a waitress with 2 jobs and I can't work for awhile at either job. I can't hold a tray nor can I walk. The stress of being the Sole Provider and not knowing how long I'm going to be down can be pretty consuming.

What prompted me to go through with this is that I have been spending days on the phone trying to find resources because I don't want to ask for help. Resources are slim and everybody is doing their best. On Friday November 10th, the day after my birthday, I had to have surgery on my ankle. I now have two screws

I'm trying to stay positive for my kids sake. Without money I can't pay rent and I can't pay my bills. My car was totaled. I never realized how much I drove every single day until I had to have somebody help me or try to arrange a ride for each one of my children. People have been so generous in the community with food resources and I'm so thankful for that. I'm assuming a month and a half until I can return to work. I pray everyday that it doesn't take that long. This concept fascinates me because it allows the generosity regular people to be extraordinary in someone else's life. Thank you!!
