<div>A month ago, my brother Mike broke his wisdom tooth. He went to the dentist, who promptly sent him to the University of Washington (UW), and from there he was sent to Harborview Medical Center. Shortly after, he was expedited for cancer treatment.

<div><strong>Mike has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma.</strong> Last week, he had pre-surgical CT scans that may have revealed a second form of cancer. We will keep you updated.

<div>His pre-surgical appointment is on Wednesday the 10th, and his surgery will be in the next week or two. Michael will be having a complete jaw reconstructive surgery, where bones and veins will be taken from his leg. He will have a tracheotomy and an NG tube. Mike will be in Harborview Medical Center and will also be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.
