Help Wally Beat Cancer

Donation protected

On Saturday the 24th of July little Wally was admitted into hospital with a swollen eye.

After two sleepless nights and invasive tests, Carol and Daniel were hit with their worst nightmare.

Every friend and family in little Wally's world came crashing down hearing the words no parent, family member or friend should have to hear "its Cancer".

Wally was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma a rare Cancer - aggressively growing directly behind his left eye, which in the short 5 days before diagnosis already claimed the vision in that eye. The current plan has Wally starting 42 weeks of intensive chemotherapy from today July 27th. Then there will be two options, either radiology or go to the USA where he can receive proton therapy treatments for his best chance of survival and recovery without major side effects.

We are in shock; how could this be happening?!? He's only 8 months old!!

Just last week everything seemed fine.

To make this time a little harder with COVID 19 restrictions means family can't even visit.

Knowing well, his courageous and caring parents Carol and Daniel will do everything and anything in their power to help their little boy beat this disease. Moral and financial support will make this battle that little bit easier for them.

Wally is has the kind of attitude and love that lights up a room, from rawr'ing at strangers as they walk into the room to the kind of laugh and smile that brightens your day. Even only moments after the diagnosis he crawled into the hospital corridor to start ahh'ing at the nurses.

This fund-raiser has been created by Wally’s Family and will go towards helping everyday expenses. If you would like to help, please donate here no amount is too small. We know it will be very much appreciated.

The majority of this funding is going on the costs to get Wally Proton therapy in the USA (Florida or Minnesota- TBD) for 2 to 6 weeks. This will give Wally a much greater chance of both eliminating the Cancer and also massively reduce the side effects. This Trip is only able to be done with Dan and Wally as Carol will be unable to fly due to her pregnancy. While there is some government funding, most is paid back after a period of up to 12 months, and not covering all the costs up font.

We will keep you updated on Wally's progress, and we thank you for your generosity and support.
