Hey Folks,

To make things clear, I am looking for support with moving costs because I have fled harassment and physical aggression by the hands of my former roommate.

Someone who I once considered a friend has locked me out of the house, moved someone in for 3 months, and has taken my personal things without permission, put their hands on me twice, blocked my entrance to the house with their body, thrown my (fresh) food away out of the fridge, harassed my friends and extended community, and not paid shared bills for months at a time.

As of Tuesday, July 29th, when they assaulted me for the second time over a charger base she fervently believed I had, I called the police and haven't slept there since. After a friend joined me that Thursday to begin packing my things, she came in alleging I had her kitchenware and got into a heated exchange. I returned on Aug 3rd to find all of my boxes opened, some items broken, and much of my things from the basement thrown over what me and my friend packed. I have yet to return to sort through the mess.

I have found several options for rapid rehousing in the city, toured, and am currently going through application approval processes. Most importantly, I have already begun the filing process to take this abuser to court.

I am asking for support with general moving costs for containers, vehicles (U-Haul, gas), and the ability to really show and share my gratitude to those who are showing up to help me in person. This is your opportunity to send some love from afar or wherever you are.
