<div>When I was in kindergarten, I told everyone I could I was a girl trapped in a boys body. I was taught that the word I was looking for must be “gay”. Being named “Truman”, the one thing I certainly was not, was a girl. I tried to ignore who I knew I was, and went with what others told me I was. I’m 26 now, and have left the house less than 30 times in the last six years because of intense agoraphobia and insecurities tied to my dysphoria. I’ve lost the majority of my friends, haven’t seen my family, haven’t even been to Target in all this time because I’m so uncomfortable with myself and my body as it is currently. My life is being wasted because the care I need is unattainable, so that’s why I’m here.

<div>My family, while supportive, is not in a place financially where they can be of help. My younger sister has been under the care of 5 specialists at Children’s hospital and had multiple surgeries on her organs (heart, kidneys, etc.).

<div>Currently, my insurance costs $650 a month, and my out of pocket max is $7,800. Im trying to raise two years worth of funds to help get my life restarted. I should be able to get all the surgeries I need within this timeframe to be passable. The funds raised will go toward both gender affirming healthcare, and regular healthcare. I have facial feminization surgery scheduled for May 20th.
