Support a Beloved Father & Community Member Detained by ICE

Please help support a beloved father & community member who was recently detained by ICE.

TM is a migrant from Chuuk (Micronesia) who came to the US when he was 8 years old. TM is the caretaker of his home, and his children look to him for their daily care and medical needs. Since his detention, the family has been struggling, and his wife is left trying to manage work, living costs, and the children’s medical needs on her own. The family is desperately struggling without his presence.

TM is also an integral part of the community, doing work supporting the collective liberation and healing of our community as a member of APICAG.

This family is living through a devastating and uncertain time. The threat of deportation has left them traumatized and struggling to hold on. They urgently need our community’s care and solidarity. The family is terrified of what deportation would mean because they depend on him not only for financial stability but also for love, guidance, and emotional support. The thought of being separated from him permanently is unbearable for his wife and kids.

From his wife Mel: “This has been one of the hardest moments of my life. My husband is more than just my partner; he is the heart of our home. His absence has left a painful void that nothing can fill. Our kids cry for him every night, asking when he will be home again. It breaks me to see their pain and to not have answers for them.

If he is sent back to the islands, we want to be there with him, to keep our family whole, and to support him as he starts over. Unfortunately, the cost of flights for myself and our children is more than we can afford right now.

We are humbly asking for any support you can give to help us raise enough for our tickets so we can reunite as a family. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity mean more to us than words can express.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

Thank you for helping us hold onto hope and love through this difficult season.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with my husband, with me, and with our children. We are deeply grateful for every single act of love and solidarity.”
