Trust Fund for Madi and Katie

From the moment word got out about our loss here at Medevac Alaska, we have been inundated with an outpouring of love and support from family, friends, fellow EMS workers and organizations, and the public from across the US!  It is difficult to find adequate words that properly convey our humble gratitude.  


So many folks have asked the question,  "How can I help?  Is there a fundraiser to help the families?"  



Maddox Burts is survived by is 11 year old daughter Madi Burts


Robert Cartner is survived by his daughter Katie Cartner


Above all else, Rob and Maddox loved their family and would both talk at length about their daughter's and about how proud they were of them.  I recall sitting on the couch with Rob at work and he was explaining to me about his plans to provide for his family in a way that they would never have to worry about anything financially.  Maddox would tell us stories about Madi and her love of theater and talk about the joy she would bring to his life.  

 The money we raise on this site will be divided equally between both girls and put into a trust fund for each.  Our intention is that they may use it for their education or for future investment purposes.  Money does not replace the loss they have in their lives.  We do this in honor of Rob and Maddox as a way to ensure that their children are provided for in their absence.
