In Loving Memory of Ryan Elliot McKay

On January 26, 2019 Ryan McKay passed away unexpectedly, peacefully in his sleep at the age of 41.

With great sadness our family announces the sudden and heartbreaking loss of a loving son, brother, father, cousin, uncle and friend to all. Ryan was always a hard worker and willing to help when he was needed. He was very witty and a quick thinker. He was also resourceful and determined, so he could help you out of most situations.

Beloved son of Brian and Frances McKay, Ryan leaves behind his siblings John & Sheri, and sadly his two daughters, Hailey & Chloe. As well as his his best friend and love of his life, Tania, his extended family including a grandma, uncles, aunts and cousins, and the many friends he has.

Ryan will be missed by everyone that knew him. Always laughing, and able to make you laugh just as easy, he had a smile that could steal your heart. He was charming, easy going and always fun to be around. Not only was he a good cook, he was adventuresome and curious. A very loving and affectionate father, he will be especially missed by his daughters.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Ryan McKay for everyone who would like to come pay their respects and remember the good times they had with Ryan. The celebration will be held at the Bain Co-Op Community Center on Saturday February 23 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. The address is 100 Bain Ave. but the clubhouse is actually located one block north on the south west corner of Logan Ave and Sparkhall Ave, just off of Sparkhall Ave. Be aware there is NO PARKING at the clubhouse and you will have to park on the streets and nearby schools.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe account set up for his daughters, Hailey (11) and Chloe (3). All proceeds will go into a trust fund for both of the children. It will be to help them with the financial burdens they will encounter not having a father to provide for them. From essential things like food and clothing to future endeavours like post secondary school, their first house and even when they have children of their own.

Thank you for any donation you make, no matter how small, and know that all of the donations together will make a world of difference for the girls. Your love and support is greatly appreciated.
