Trumpet for an Excellent Kid

Hello everyone!
This is my best friend, Jared Ragsdale.
For those of you who are Indy musicians, you probably know Jared (no teenager markets themselves the way Jared does), but for those of you who don't, I'll introduce him to you. Jared is a senior trumpet player at North Central High School, and dreams of going to Indiana University to get a degree in music education. Jared is one of the most dedicated people I know. When he went to tour Jacobs for the first time, he not only scheduled his tour, but he arranged it so he could sit in on the Symphonic Band rehearsal and have a private meeting with Dr. Eric Smedley. He does everything he possibly can to improve and make it to IU. If you only know one thing about Jared, it's that he loves IU with all his heart. Jared works frequently with his middle school band director, leading sectionals and giving lessons. He also connects with people and is a sponge when it comes to learning. If you have knowledge to spread, Jared wants to listen. He has an impressive practice schedule, and ALWAYS makes time to practice. For example, he closed at work last night and at 12:30am he sent me a video of himself buzzing the lead pipe under a blanket in his room so he wouldn't wake his family. He is also probably the hardest working person I know. Jared works at minimum fifteen hours a week during the school year and full time during school breaks to pay for his phone bill, car insurance, gas, and food. Soon he'll have to start paying for college application fees, which can become a hefty amount when we're talking music schools.
On top of all of his other expenses, Jared is currently working on trying to save money to buy himself a trumpet. He currently uses a school owned Bach, which he will have to return at the end of this year. This is where I come in. For Christmas, I'd like to help Jared out by raising money for his trumpet. I'd like to make a goal of $2600 to cover the cost. Any donation will help, big or small.
