Trump Plaza & Implosion Man, Going Out with a Bang

Tax deductible
Well, now, everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City          ...Bruce Springsteen, Atlantic City, 1982

In the fall of 1994, a questionable idea for a Halloween costume became an alter ego and a ‘legend in my own mind’, Implosion Man.  Implosion Man’s first appearance was at the Sears Catalog Building demolition on Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia, PA on October 31 that year.  It was awe inspiring. People seemed to like to get a picture taken with or film short video clip of him.  Due to the overwhelming experience and support, he got hooked and has attended over a dozen implosions ever since.  Some of Implosion Man’s notable appearances:
Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh, Feb 11, 2001
Veterans Stadium, Philadelphia, March 21, 2004
Sands Casino, Atlantic City, October 18, 2007
Texas Stadium, Irving, April 11, 2010
And the most recent, the implosion of Bethlehem’s Steel Martin Tower on May 19, 2019.

So when a promotion for the opportunity to push the button for the upcoming Trump Plaza implosion came up, he knew he had to participate.

Putting politics and any ill feelings aside, Implosion Man does not realistically believe he’ll be even capable of coming close to raising over $60,000 where the current bid sits.

However, his goal is to get as many family members, friends, acquaintances and ‘fans’ of Implosion Man to donate any small amount in these trying, unprecedented times (a dollar will do!), and at least obtain the most ‘votes’ per say for Implosion Man to push the button.

It’s a win-win situation.

While adding to Implosion Man’s storied past & cause célèbre, all the proceeds from this GoFundMe account will be donated to the intended beneficiary, The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, with its philanthropic mission, goals and the many great programs to support & ‘revitalize’ Atlantic City and the city’s residents, especially its youth.

Thank you in advance for your time & donation.  Please leave a note for Implosion Man with your contribution, even if it’s anonymous one.

IT’S A GAMBLE WORTH TAKING!

See you January 29th in Atlantic City!

Regards,
Lou Woloszyn aka Implosion Man

FYI.  Implosion Man is seriously thinking about hanging up his hard hat & clock after this one.
