Trudy and Martin Jones

Trudy and Martin Jones are in their retirement years. Black mold has been found in their manufactured home and insurance won't cover the expenses for taking it out. Martin is a Navy veteran. Both Martin and Trudy are experiencing health problems. Because they cannot afford to have the mold professionally removed, they have plans to remove the mold themselves although that could bring further health issues to both of them. The cost to have the mold professionally removed is estimated to be $10,000. That does not include rebuilding the areas that have been removed. Trudy is a retired teacher. Martin, too, retired from teaching after a long career. During his working years, Martin served consecutive terms as Elder and Deacon in their Church, Lebanon First Presbyterian Church. Trudy has served also as an Elder and Deacon. They began their leadership roles in the church as early as 1978 when they first moved to Lebanon. In the past 10 years, Martin has been instrumental in leading a homeless shelter and directing a thrift store, which kept the shelter operating.
They have raised 4 children, one adopted from the Department of Human Resources. They also served for 13 years as consultants to parents and schools on children with traumatic brain injury. They have persevered through the issues inherent in raising children with disabilities. They are now grandparents to three beautiful girls. Martin and Trudy Jones have many friends but none of us can make much of a dent in the financial needs of the family at this time. I'm hoping that friends, family, and perhaps others, will share together to provide an avenue for this worthy family to be safer and to return to a reasonable retirement. Thank you for any help.
