Trudie Staffa McQuiston's Expenses

Donation protected
In the fall of 2015, Trudie Staffa McQuiston was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.  It started in her breast and metastasized to other parts of her body, including her liver.  She was hospitalized for 2 1/2 months with Brian at her side the entire time.

Trudie said she did not want to be defined by her illness and chose to keep her condition private.  She handled her hospital stay with such  grace, serenity and humor that much of the hospital staff lined the hall to bid her goodbye.  In fact, when she entered the hospital for the final time, many of the staff remembered her.

She lived every day to the fullest,  "I love you"  became a phrase she used many times a day to so many people in her life.  She seemed so healthy and joyous that her illness was for the most part hidden.

As you can imagine,  during the past several years the medical bills piled up.  To manage financially, Brian and Trudie sold their beloved home in the Oak Forest area and moved farther out.  Yet the bills kept coming in.   Trudie's insurance has simply not covered all of the costs.  Brian has been dealing with his own health issues for several years.

There will be many new bills from this last week in the hospital as well as for Trudie's final arrangements and memorial celebration.  Brian's own medical needs continue as well.

Any amount you feel moved to donate will help Brian with past and future medical expenses as well as other expenses.  There are several people that have donated directly for immediate expenses.  Thank you in advance and blessings to each of you.
