Musical Truckin' Dog Rescue Needs Help!

Donation protected
Musical Truckin Dog Adoption Program saves animals in a most unusual way. They bring death-row shelter dogs to one of the largest truck stops in the nation and do an on-site dog adoption to truckers from across the nation! In four and a half years they have saved over 4300 dogs from death with the support and love of a nation of truckers.

But they need help to continue building this life-saving program. They need fencing and kennels for their rescue farm, they need an RV and trailer to transport dogs to and from the weekly event. Here is a page to describe the immediate needs of this program. See our Mission Statement Click Here.

They need playpens, tents, and all the goodies to do the on-site adoptions, and offer a Dog Care Package with each adoption!

They also need medical bills to be covered, and daily medical supplies. The further in they get with the rescues, the more sick dogs they have to save. Shelter dogs have low immune systems, and many issues. They recently spent almost $1500 on Cashew, a 1 lb eight week terrier found with his brother lying on their dead mother in a field near Devore. The dog had to be hospitalized for four days, and hand fed every two hours for another four days. But he made it, and he and his brother are ready for adoption now.

The reason this organization is doing this page now is because of a special adoption this past week. They had a dog, Butch, they rescued from Riverside Animal Shelter. It had been in the shelter over two months, but its leg and hip had been harmed and the dog could barely walk. They took it to a vet, and therefore began many forthcoming bills. He began a family member, until one day a big dog, rescued, attacked him, and he got three one-inch wounds that required the founder to place hot compresses on the area every few hours for weeks, plus medications. Then Butch befriended a teacup reindeer, 6 months old, and 4 lbs, also found in a field with his brother, who after hundreds of dollars spent, died due to a weak immune system, and the stories go on.

But a man showed up at the truck stop show and fell in love with this little guy, and Butch took to him too, something he did not do for anyone. And, that man, Jay, told the founders how much their program meant to him. He had heard about their events, and it took him six months to get to California as a long haul driver to get an animal. He wanted to get a friend at the Musical Truckin Event, and he got Butch! But he shared his heart how thankful he was for this program. The man trusted these people, and he and Butch are having a ball:

But it will take the love and financial support of others to make this entire program work. The organization needs to hire people to help with the animals at the rescue farm too.

Kong Company published an article about this organization, and it "says it all!" Please become part of something different that is making a difference.
