Troy Gladney Fund

Donation protected

This fund has been created to help provide a successful future for young Troy Gladney whose father Troy Gladney, Sr. died tragically on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the age of 40.

Troy Gladney, Sr. was a beloved former employee of the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, where his mother Tracy Brown is currently employed and has been on the staff for a number of years.  Troy was well known to many of Green Spring's members and frequently worked in their homes helping them with their entertaining and catering needs.  Troy was always very eager to please and had a ready smile and winning personality.  His untimely death will leave an imeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him.

Your generosity will go into a fund for young Troy for educational and living expenses.  A recent high school graduate, young Troy is scheduled to begin vocational training in Texas in October in the specialized skill of underwater welding.

Your contributions are welcome immediately and no gift is too great or too small.  Thank you in advance for your kindness and your part in helping to provide  for a young man who has lost his best friend.

____________________________________________________________Dear donors, at the request of the folks at GoFundMe, and in the interest of transparency, I'd like clarify that I am the General Manager at Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, where Troy Gladney worked for a number of years and where his mother still works.  I have known young Troy, since he was a baby and have followed his progress with interest.  He, his father, and I shared an unpopulat affinity for the always doomed Washington Redskins.

I have lived in Baltimore for almost 20 years.  I arrived at Green Spring in February of 1998.

The funds donated by you will go to help young Troy with his tuition at a vocational training school in the Houston area (where he will learn the specialized skill of underwater welding) as well as with room, board and transportation.    Troy will leave for Texas, tomorrow 10/7/2017.  His mother, Belinda, will travel with him to help him get situated and then she will return to her life and work in Baltimore.  Tracy Browm, Troy, Sr.'s mother, will return to her job at Green Spring starting next week, following a month-long bereavement sabbatical.  We all look forward to seeing her again.

Thank you all for your interest, kindness and generosity.
