Trout Lake Nature Center

Tax deductible

Over the weekend, Trout Lake Nature was broken into and vandalized. Their golf cart used for transport of visitors with mobility deficits was stolen, along with damage to several exhibits, technology, and walls. Thankfully no animals were harmed or escaped! Let’s help get this center back on it’s feet to continue to be an option to appreciate nature during this pandemic! Funds would primarily go to restoration of taxidermy animal exhibits and a replacement golf cart.

From the center: “We have worked so hard to keep our facilities and trails open so people have a place to get back to nature, today when I arrived at work I found our buildings had been broken into and vandalized. Our wildlife mounts have been damaged, offices wrecked, water fountain, walls, etc were damaged. Our golf cart used to transport people with mobility challenges on our trails was stolen.

It is so disappointing to be struggling to keep doors open, staff paid and then to be hit with senseless destruction. Needless to say, we will be closing our facilities for this week as we repair and get as much back to normal as we can. Thank you for your patience.“
