Trophies to kids who are superheros

Since 2011, we have processed thousands of old/ unwanted trophies and refurbished them. We put on new nameplates (thanks to a local trophy business) and ship them around the country.

Hospitals then give them to kids that:
complete chemo
learn to walk again
finish halo treatments
or inpatient activities such as a talent or art show.

Some are even sent on a regular basis to Give Kids the World in FL for their weekly “Village Idol” competition.

We donate locally to Pediatric Cancer Center to give to the “superhero’s” as well as their annual 5k fundraiser.

If a trophy received from a donor, is scratched or dented, we take them apart and use what we can to make other trophies. 

The damaged parts are recycled- cast, aluminum, and steel. The marble pieces go to an area concrete company. The wood and plastic pieces go to local crafters. Everything is fully recycled and not going into a landfill.

while the trophies are “free” we still need funds to buy the replacement parts and for shipping which can be costly due to weight and add up.

Although we have been doing this for years out of our own pocket, we were missing opportunities for grants/ funding because we were not a 501c3 non profit organization. So, we decided to become one. With that also came a hefty price tag to get the paperwork processed and fees to process our application. 

Some fundraisers have started locally and will continue to raise funds/ get grants but I persoanlly, do like like to be in the negative on anything...

We are also on Facebook under “Trophy Drive” where you can see some recipients and get updated as well.

kids go through a LOT when they are sick, they don’t care if they got a “refurbished” trophy, to them, it’s a trophy for all their hard work that they continue to endure and the fan mail I receive proves it.
