Boy Scout Troop 604 has been a fixture in the Oak Forest subdivision of Houston, Texas since 1955. Sea Scouts Ship 24 has a history dating back to 1928 and shares our building.
Our Scouthouse is very old and needs lots of repairs after being flooded out last year. We've already done plenty of work with materials that us dads have bought but we just can't afford much more and there's still lots to be done.
Floor after flooding.
Cleaning up the floor.
Replacing the soffits.
Boy Scouts and Sea Scouts taking out all of the damaged sheetrock, insulation, and wainscoating.
We're trying to replace the sheetrock on the ceiling and walls, but we found out there are 16 broken roof rafters and several ceiling joists that need to be repaired before we can proceed. We need money for lumber, hardware, electrical updating, sheetrock, insulation, and paint.

Your generous contribution will help restore our Scouthouse to someplace safe and clean where our young Scouts can learn and grow into resourceful, confident, young men of good character.
