Troi's First Independent Production

Hello! I am currently a junior studying Television and Film Production at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and "Late Night" is a short film project that I have been writing since this past summer of 2017. Without giving away too much, it is the story of a girl and the unpleasant circumstances of one late night. These circumstances lead to a strange connection with a boy whose perspective may never be the same because of their encounter. Though the plot revolves around a situation some of us know all too well, I hope to bring to life a unique story that both surprises and provokes the audience to think deeper about themselves and the people around them. 

I plan to film my narrative in Spring 2018, and I want the quality of this- my first official project- to reflect the hard work and thought that was put into its development. Getting the equipment I need and securing the rest of the production's necessities (permits, props, food, etc.) will require cost that goes beyond my student budget. I plan to use a portion of my own savings to bring my project to life, but there are costs that still need to be covered.

I am extremely blessed to have family and friends who have believed in and supported my dreams, whatever they may have been, throughout my life. ANY amount, from 1 cent to 1 dollar, will be instrumental in helping me move forward in acheiving these dreams. Whether you can donate or just share, I truly appreciate the support more than I can say.

I am nervous, but so, so excited to begin this journey and hopefully create something that will make everyone who has ever invested in me proud!
