Nepal and domestic violence walk

Donation protected
WHAT do a mayor, a newspaper editor and a small business owner have in common? Aside from sounding like the beginning of a bad joke, here is the answer: a pair of joggers, healthy legs and a willingness to help those in need.

Kyogle mayor Danielle Mulholland, Express Examiner editor Samantha Elley and Decadent Diva Australia business owner Leah Hobbs have signed up for the Kyogle Community Gym's 100km Challenge for May.

Over the rest of this month all three ladies will be pounding the pavement, treadmill and any other surface to ensure they do at least 3.22km a day, along with 70+ other people who have signed up.

There will be a difference, however, as the trio will be raising money to help in Nepal and also support programs against domestic violence in Kyogle.
