Tristan "Bubba" Middlebrook Medical Expenses

Lakeland community, one of our own, #54 Tristan “Bubba” Middlebrook from Lake Gibson High School became ill after practice and suffered a freak injury, which resulted in him having to be on a ventilator for 8 days and in the ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital. While there, Tristan had to battle back from a collapsed left lung that required an emergency chest tube, a partially collapsed right lung and was critically ill and diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Failure. His heart was damaged due to the injuries sustained also. All of this caused his liver and kidneys to have to work overtime. He had to be “Life Flighted” twice and had a total hospital stay of 16 days. He has since come home and is improving significantly. With that being said, the hospital bills and other costs that go along with an extended hospital stay are starting to add up. Along with prayers, I wanted to see if we could all come together and support this wonderful family. The wrestling team paid for a hotel in Tampa for 2 days and The Garrard Family covered the rest of the days, so that his family could be close by and the football team was able to help with food cards and some cash for food. We are now looking to raise money to assist with the medical bills & the family was told a week ago that the home they have been living in is being sold and they have until 12/31 to move out. Please find it in your heart to give, even if it is a little. I know it is Christmas time and money may be tight, but this will be greatly beneficial to this family.
