Trips for Taps offers Veterans a chance to say goodbye to the fallen heros they served with. We pay for the lodging and transportation of veterans who wish to attend their fallen brother/sisters funeral.
Trips for Taps was created in memoriam of Kyle Breech, a US Marine who passed away in March of 2014.
After learning of his death, 14 former US Marines traveled from accross the country to say their final goodbyes on a two days notice. Most of us hadn't seen each other in over five years, but it felt like we were never apart. We bonded again over the loss of our friends, and now want to give all veterans the same experience Kyle gave us.
We are seeking $12,000 to cover our first funeral, initial operating costs, and fundraising costs. If we are able to generate this much in donations, I have no doubt we will be able to reach our goal of covering 52 funerals in 2015.
