Vanessa and Scott have always wanted to have three children. They are blessed with two boys, Ryan 12, and Mason 10. For years now, they have tried to have a third child.
Sadly, they suffered many tragedies along the way. Vanessa and Scott lost three babies for reasons medical professionals could not understand. They had started to believe that perhaps having another child was not meant to be when they joyously found out she was pregnant with Grady.
Grady's due date was October 1, 2017. Vanessa was reluctant to announce the pregnancy considering the three losses. She finally announced on July 16th that she was expecting and that she was into her 29th week of pregnancy. Within 24 hours of announcing the good news, Vanessa was in the hospital and the doctors were preparing her for delivery.
She ultimately needed an emergency cesarian. Grady Nolan was born in the early morning hours of July 18, 2017. He weighed 2 pounds, 7 ounces and was 15 inches long.
Vanessa is healing and has been released from the hospital. Unfortunately, Grady will need to stay until he is bigger and stronger. The family lives in Frederick and Grady is at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at the Presbyterian/St. Luke's campus in downtown Denver.
Beyond medical costs, the family will also need funds to help with commuting to and from the hospital as well as to Ryan and Mason's schools once the new academic year begins.
Scott and Vanessa are two of the kindest, most giving people I have ever known! Scott works countless hours to provide for his family and then volunteers to coach several sports and teams throughout the year. Vanessa is an amazing mother and school volunteer. She helps as the team manager every sport's season for Scott's teams as well.
I am hoping that their family, friends and community will help support them in their time of need.
If you cannot donate money - perhaps you could help provide meals, carpools, etc. to assist them over the next few months.
