Trip to Zimbabwe Africa

Hello everyone!

I am going to Zimbabwe from January 5th to January 17th. 

Last night (as I write this) my good friend Jon told me of his plans to go to Africa. I asked if I could join, he said yes and here we are. 

We will be working in partnership with African Leadership Development and House of Hope going to an orphanage Whunga, Zimbabwe in order to build relationships with the kids living there as well as start construction on a housing expansion.


During the month of september I traveled across our country from New Jersey to California and it was the most harrowing expience of my life. Seeing the beauty as well as the suffering America holds has changed me.  Although it's already been a month I'm still in the process of understanding most of what I've experienced, but I know that I have grown.   I've shared before how blackness can only be seen in person and how I believe that to truely understand an idea you must live and act it and to truely understand a person you must know them. 


I've been looking for an opprotunity to travel internationally in order to meet and get to know more of my brothers and sisters for a long time. This is the first opportunity I've had to do something like this and I'm grateful to anyon who helps me. 

Any extra funds will go as donation toward further projects.
