Taking my mum on holiday after cancer treatment
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tyler Gullin. In 2020, my mum was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, an extremely rare smooth muscle and tissue cancer. She has been in and out of hospital over the past 3 years and has been on the brink of death on multiple occasions due to slow hospital and ambulance services. She has had many complications due to this cancer and has led to her having organs partially or fully being removed. This includes a large chunk of her small intestine as it began to collapse in on itself. My mum now has a bag and needs to be fed through a drip at night to try and gain weight after she lost so much during treatments dropping below 5 stone. My mum loves holidays and she hasn’t been able to go on one in years partially because of COVID-19 but also because of her treatment. Because of what she has had done, she can no longer afford to go on holiday abroad because her insurance is now above £3000. I know it is possible to travel without insurance but with what my mum has we wouldn’t risk it and I aim to raise enough money to give my mum a treat after all she’s been through. This is the first Christmas coming up that we have had with her in the house or no on day release. Anything that you could give to try and help to pay for a trip for my mum would be greatly appreciated I feel like she has deserved it because of the poor service she has been given and the trauma it’s caused her. The trip would be to the island of Majorca in the summer of 2024 for 1-2 weeeks to finally take her back to her favourite holiday destination of all time. Anyone that wants more information on the destination and how the money is being spent, you can contact me at [email redacted]
Thank you for reading this and considering donating to my cause.
