Trinity Community Outreach Center

Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church in Southern Pines, N.C. has been the cornerstone of the west Southern Pines community since 1894. Before the church was officially organized, Sunday School and prayer meetings were held at the homes of members. Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church has a history of growth and development which began with the erection of the first church in 1897. Growth continued during the 1920s through 1930 with expansive building and renovations . In 1967 the current structure was purchased. Rev. Dr. Paul G. Murphy,  officers and members have continued this tradition. We are presently prepared to invite the Southern Pines and the neighboring Communities to partake in our most important building expansion to date, The Trinity Community Outreach Center (TCOC)
TCOC  was under construction for 10  years facing peaks & valleys. It was because of the dedication & commitment of the leadership that it's doors recently opened.  This state of the arts facility has the potential to drastically improve the Southern Pines Community

The goal of the Trinity Community Outreach Center is to meet the ever-changing demands of our community. Initially, we will offer the youth in our community enrichment opportunities in education, the arts and sports. We are equally committed to the adults in our community and we are prepared to tailor our services to assist in meeting the vocational, technological and social trends of the 21st century.

We asking you to join us in this venture to begin this important work for our community. The funds raised will be used to complete the inside furnishings that includes the kitchen, two bathrooms and six offices.
