UPDATE
As you may know, Trina transitioned earlier this week. Here’s a message from her mom:
“From the family: Thank you again to all of Trina Lashawn's dear friends and supporters. We’d like to share that our strength in stilettos, Trina peacefully transitioned early this afternoon. Our family is taking this time to process, love and grieve together and thank you for understanding and respecting our much needed privacy at this time. We will be sure to keep you abreast of all arrangements as they unfold. It is well with our soul. Peace be still. God bless you all.”
Trina was an amazing mom of an amazing teenage son. This fund will be used to help support Trina’s son and assist her family, as needed.
Since Trina's diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic colon cancer in 2012, she has been a fierce advocate for living life to the fullest – encouraging everyone she meets to "make memories on purpose" (#MMOP) and "choose happy."
STORY
Although Trina is full of positivity, she has not had an easy road. Cancer has thrown her multiple curveballs over the years, but she has always found ways to channel her challenges to inspire us all. Trina has shared her journey openly and honestly, creating an amazing community of caring and raising awareness about multiple important causes along the way.
Now, Trina could use our support as she fights a particularly difficult battle for her health.
As many of you know, Trina has not been able to work for quite some time. There are bills to pay today, and plans to make for tomorrow. As a single mom, her worries weigh especially hard.
We're kicking off this campaign to provide Trina and her son a measure of financial support to ease their load. Your gift, no matter the size, will make a difference for them. In the spirit of #MMOP, please feel free to add a word, phrase or memory that makes you think of Trina with your donation.
