Trigger's in Trouble

On Friday night Trigger took a fall out of bed.  Quickly, Dana & Pat realized Trig was in trouble. He was unable to bear weight on his back legs and began to struggle in pain. Trigger was immediately taken to Mt Laurel Emergency were the Millers were advised to transport him to University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia. Trigger was hosptalized in ICU where an MRI and diagnostic testing showed nerve damage along with two ruptured discs in his neck. 



Last night around 10pm Trigger was taken into surgery with the amazing staff at Penn. Tigger did well through the surgery and was placed on IV pain medications and made comfortable at the facility. This morning Trigger is in great spirits but remains unable to move his back legs. It took three staff members to assist Trigger outside. Trigger is a 90lb laborador retriever who is in for a long haul of recovery. For now the hospital advised the Millers he would do best at the facility until later this week.

With this type of emergency care comes a great financial hardship.

As we all know Trigger & Jake mean everything to the Millers. So it was no surprise they did not hesiate to take Trigger for the best immediate care available. 

Currently, Triggers medical bill is $8000.00
This number is before the hospitalization for this week. Trigger will also require laser and water rehabilitation following his stay once his legs begin to work again.
