Tricia Johnson Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Tricia Johnson is a 26 year old wife and mother of 3 beautiful girls that was recently diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer called chondrosarcoma. This cancer is located in her skull cavity and she recently underwent a 7 hour surgery to remove 90 percent of the tumor. The location of the tumor prevented doctors from being able to remove it all without damage to her sight and hearing. Tricia will need intense radiation treatment in order to destroy the remaining tumor.

The safest type of radiation treatment for her is only given in Jacksonville Florida. Tricia will have to travel back and forth from her home in Franklin Georgia in order to take the treatment which will last approximately 7 weeks. Doctors recommend that she stay in Florida for the first few weeks of her treatment in order to be watched closely for any kind of negative reaction while her body adjusts to the radiation.

During treatment Tricia will not be allowed to continue her work as an orthodontic assistant which puts significant stress on the families’ financial situation as well as the large amount of medical and travel expenses that are already building. Her husband Bryan works for Pike Electric and will be taking as much time off as he can to support her during this time. Facing cancer is already more of a stress than anyone should have to face and the mounting bills are further stressing the family who needs to spend their time and energy on helping her beat cancer and heal. We are trying to raise money to help her family with the daily living expenses and travel to get her treatment as well as the medical bills incurred from the surgery and radiation treatment.

Anyone who is lucky enough to know Tricia personally can attest to her personal strength and determination to beat this disease. In the years that I have known her she has always been the first to volunteer to help anyone in their time of need. She has always put her children and family first. She goes above and beyond to provide the best and most nurturing environment for her children always putting herself and her needs last.

To say that our family has been blindsided with this diagnosis would be an understatement. We have lived what seems to be a nightmare that won’t end this past few weeks. A simple ear infection has turned into a situation bigger than all of us and one we know will be a battle for months to come. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come. If you can donate we would all really appreciate it and if you can’t donate please say a prayer for her and family.
