Tribute for Edith

I've started this memorial fund with permission from Edith's family for the expenses they will have to incur due to their tragic loss. I am their friend and neighbor for the past 7 years and want to try and help the best I can for a family that has become dear to me.

As most know, Edith was taken from her family and friends in an unexpected incident last Sunday evening in Lincoln, NE. This has been heartbreaking for her family with the tragic loss of Edith. Those that knew her, knew she was a loving and giving person to all she met. She had a love for life and wanted to experience every adventure she came across. Her smile would light a room and bring you into her happiness when she was around. Her life was taken in such a sad, senseless act by the accident and many are still in shock and can't believe it has happened.

Edith comes from a strong, proud family and I'm hoping that with this memorial we can show them how much we cared and loved their daughter. An unexpected funeral service can be stressful for any family and that's not what they need to focus on at this time of grief and loss. If you could find a way to help out with the expenses they will have to lay Edith to rest, I would be grateful. I know they would be appreciative for the help, big or small. A simple act of kindness for one of our own local families from Cozad.

If you could all please send a prayer up for this family and the family of Emily during the days and month ahead. These families will have to come to a new reality of life without their beautiful girls here with them.

I pray that the fun moments and laughs you shared with Edith stay fresh in your memories, she would want you to remember her that way, with that million dollar smile she offered so willingly.
