Tri to fight rural isolation

Hello friends,
Over the past several weeks, I've been training to complete a sprint triathlon for fun but mostly to convince myself I'm still in a good physical shape, assuming I get out of it alive of course ... As I was talking about it around me, someone asked if I was fundraising for a cause which got me thinking (Shoutout to Bruno for the idea).
I quickly thought about all morocco's mountain population who's left to die in the cold every year. These people go through the same miserable and wretched conditions when the cold hit the mountains.
First snow is exciting for many people (including myself .. NOT), but for these people, it's the beginning of a long painful isolated winter. It might not be -40 but it surely feels like it, given the very limited resources and equipment at their disposal. The cold season places a huge burden on poor families who can barely afford the basic necessities of life, let alone be able to buy firewood, warm clothes, snow boots, etc.

Today, I'd like to ask all my friends, wherever you are from, to help me help mountain villagers face the upcoming winter. I know I can count on you to help me save families and children from freezing cold and death. Every donation counts.
To help with this mission, I got in touch with few associations and I and I was impressed by the work El Baraka Angels does to help this cause, amongst others. I will be documenting and sharing with all of you the progress of this journey.
I might not have an inspirational story but I've been semi-busting my a** (semi-busting because I can't stay away from french fries) to complete a 750m Swim + 20km bike + 5km run and YOU will all help me do it for a good cause.
