Help Trevor to the Americas Open!

Hello, And thank you for visiting! My name's Trevor Bunch. I was born with a condition called tibial dysplasia - a rare defect in which the bones of the lower leg do not fully develop. At the age of 13 months, my parents elected to have my legs amputated above the knee. Since then, nothing's stopped me!


I've always been athletically inclined, and as long as I've been able to move, I've done so. Originally I started racing track, and my passion in high school was wrestling, but I've always had an affinity for the weight room. When I discovered Paralympic Powerlifting at the UCO Endeavor Games in 2011 (and received a gold medal!)- I was absolutely hooked! I competed again in 2012 with the same result, and the coaches of the US Para Powerlifting told me if I were to dedicate myself, I could have a shot at qualifying for the World Championships in 2014! Worlds is the first big step towards becoming a Paralympian, and an opportunity to represent my country among some of the best athletes on the planet.


Knowing this, I busted my tail for a year and in June 2013, I again competed in the UCO Endeavor Games with a shot at Worlds on the line. AND I QUALIFIED! I DID IT! In one of the proudest moments of my life to date, I made (and exceeded) the standard to qualify for the IPC Powerlifting World Championships in Dubai. In April 2014, I will be traveling with the US Worlds team to Dubai, UAE. The costs of this incredible opportunity are not cheap, around $3000 out-of-pocket. With that, I am launching this site in hopes that you, my friend, will help me fulfill this dream!
