Trevor's Forever Mommy

Donation protected

This is Trevor. He is 3 years old. Trevor was born addicted to Heroin. Trevor has an angel. Her name is Amanda. When Trevor was born Amanda was 18 years old. Amanda went to the hospital to see her new baby cousin. Little did she know she was actually going to see her new son. When the news that Trevor was born addicted reached Amanda's ears she didn't have to think very long. God put this in her heart. She was to be Trevor's Mommy. She knew Trevor would likely end up in Foster Care. But this was her blood. He was so tiny and fragile. She couldn't walk away. And she didn't walk away. She has been by Trevor's side since day one. This young lady was preparing to graduate from High School. When most young people her age were going off to parties and going off to college this young lady chose a different path. She chose to become Trevor's Mommy. Amanda is now 21 years old. She works full time but doesn't have the additional funds to fulfill their dream. She provides everything for this little guy. He is her number one. He is now a healthy, strong, fiercly smart and articulate little boy. Amanda has done such an amazing job with him.   Please read this post that she recently wrote. It will show you her character:                                                                                                                                           "I still to this day wonder how on earth I go so lucky to be this boys momma. It was such an easy decision to take him in, but quite hard to raise him. Not financially, and not physically, but emotionally, it was hard. I didn't enjoy much of his first year as much as I intended to because I wasn't sure if he was going to get taken from me and here we are over three years later. I can't be more thankful to have him in my life. He makes me smile day in and day out. I don't know what it is but I am so crazy about him. I may not have had my first child as I have always imagined, but it was and still is just as exciting as any other way. I saved him and honestly, he saved me... and still does. I can't imagine my world could get any brighter.

So I am asking for the help of friends, family, and strangers. Amanda's dream is to legally adopt Trevor. This young lady inspires me. I wish I could just grant her this wish on my own, but I am unable. She recently met with a local adoption attorney who agreed to take her case. She has spoken to Trevor's biological mother who fully supports this decision, and who is now clean. His "Belly Mom" knows that Trevor is loved, healthy, happy, and safe with Amanda. She will be able to see her biological son grow up because he is with family.  The roadblock at this point is the adoption fee.  The attorney states the fee will be between 1200.00 and 2000.00.  He has the motion drawn up as of today. He is only awaiting the fee.  After reading this story, if you find it in your heart to help Trevor and Amanda become a legally bound forever family, I ask that you donate to this cause. If you are moved, but unable to donate, I would ask that you help by sharing this campaign and encouraging as many people as you can to do the same.  I thank you from the very bottom of my heart and so do Amanda and Trevor.
