On August 13, 2014, Trevor was born at 23 weeks (17 weeks early) weighing only 1 lb. 7 oz. Since birth, Trevor has had numerous blood transfusions, several courses of antibiotics and steroids, and two surgeries: one on his heart and one on his eyes.
Trevor was on a ventilator until December 10th but due to breathing complications he had to be reintubated on December 17. On January 4th, he was extubated again and has been on high flow oxygen since. His lungs still have to develop more so he can breathe completely on his own.
He remains in the NICU and continues to make progress one step at a time.
