Reforestation in Haiti

Tree Angels for Haiti (TAFH) is a 501c3 non-profit organization created to help support the people of Haiti with tree planting projects and all activities focusing on environmental wellness.  

TAFH volunteers visit Haiti at least twice a year.  Each trip requires a great deal of preparation and  expenses. We are very mindful of the urgent  needs in Haiti, so we take  school and health supplies to our volunteers.   We also  purchase and take essential items such as seeds and garden tools, which are distributed to all who are willing to grow seedlings for sustainability.  We meet with the local community  to distribute, donate and provide education.  The greatest gift is providing the means and the education for the people of Haiti to support themselves through sustainable agriculture and reforestation.

Tree Angels for Haiti's main focus is reforestation.  Why?
- Reforestation gives the people of Haiti a skill and means to provide for themselves through by growing fruit trees on their lands.
- Reforestation helps make the devastated land of Haiti fertile again which could ultimately help in sustaining more crops.
- Tree roots keep the land in place from being eroded into the ocean during natural desasters.
- And last, but not least, the leaves create wind and provide shade in a very hot climate. 

When you donate to TAFH you are helping  the citizens of Haiti gain more control and independence in their lives by restoring growth and natural resources to their country.
