Treatment and Support for Landon

Landon became a victim of childhood cancer at age 7 and has fought back every step of the way. He just turned 11 and is still battling but it's time Landon and his family stop fighting this alone. Let's band together and take away some financial burden so they can focus on HEALING and LIVING. We can all donate something. NO amount is too small or too large. Here is Landon's journey so far written by his mother Tiffany: "Landon was diagnosed back in 2013 with a brain stem glioma. He went through treatment in KC children's mercy. Once that was over his tumor started to grow again so we took him to cardinal glennon for a 2nd opinion. There, they watched him closely for over a year before his tumor finally grew so large they had no choice but to do surgery to debulk the tumor and remove a piece of skull for the tumor to grow because chemo will not do anything for it anymore and he's had enough radiation to last a life time so he can not receive it ever again! The surgery was risky but we decided to try anything and everything to save our boy. Once the surgery was done he came out paralyzed on his left side. He couldn't even wiggle his toes or move a finger. He ended up needing a trach and a g-button also because it paralyzed his throat to where he can't eat or drink anymore. He is strictly tube fed. Over the next year he worked hard in therapy and learned how to walk and gained 75% of his strength back all by his own determination. His tumor is stable still now but due to the effects of treatment his little bones on his spine are deteriorating and he had to have from c1-c7 totally replaced and he will be in the hospital for at the least 2 weeks THIS month! He will have a 3-4 month recovery, hopefully at home, if not at Ranken Jordan rehabilitation hospital. We have a very long road as he will have screws, pins and rods placed along with some artificial "bones" placed. In 1 year from the surgery he can have just the rods removed if everything heals properly."
