He's Always Helped Others Now He Needs Our Help

Donation protected
This person is a very close friend of mine and needs help. He is one of the nicest most hardworking people I know. He is the type of guy you can always rely on and trust. This is very important to me that he gets the proper help he deserves and needs. In the past I have set up one other gofundme dealing with a similar situation.  Sadly it was for the cost of a funeral not treatment. The last thing I want to happen is go through that again. Please donate or atleast share this on your facebook. Thank you!                                      -Vann Vetch- After exhausting all other options, creating a GoFundMe account is the last thing to try in hopes of being able to raise enough funds for my Fiancé to be able to get into treatment to receive the medical care & help he is desperately needing.       My Fiancé has struggled with addiction & mental illness for over half of his life. He has always been a fighter & refuses to give up. But as time goes on, he grows older, the battle for recovery becomes more difficult each time. This past year for the first time, we were faced with the struggle of him not having health insurance. Due to his illness & its seve how severe it was at that point in time, he was unable to hold down a job long enough to receive any kind of benefits that would allow him medical help. Even if we could afford just to get him in front of a doctor, the cost of medication alone without insurance is insanely expensive. As times gone on, w/ out him being able to receive long term treatment his condition becomes more severe. A big dilema we've encountered is monthly medication alone will not help at this acute level now. He needs long term, inpatient treatment that offers full medical detox under the supervision of a physician.     Treatment alone w/out insurance costs approx $15-20k. We have found 2 facilities equipped to provide the appropriate help necessary. These treatment centers require down payment before admittance into a program. We have also looked into saving enough money to get him health insurance to help us price wise w  treatment but w a  health care plan that assists w long term drug detox & rehabilitation comes a hefty deductible/co-pay, plus additional costs the insurance company decides not to cover.      If this was not a life or death situation, we would not be reaching out for help. With the extent of his addiction & mental illness; he has developed schizophrenia that has escaladed rapidly. In the past 7 months, he has been rushed to the ER at least 12 times due to overdosing... not for suicidal attempts; but because his schizophrenoc episodes & hallucinations are so intense, lasting for such long periods of time, he has no way to make them stop. Many times he is unable to determine what's real & what's not. He lives in constant fear of people spying or being after him to cause harm. Whether he thinks bullets flying at him or people waiting outside the room he's barricaded himself him, convincing his mind he can hear voices whispering  "bust down the door to capture him".  In these terrifying moments only thing he knows to make it all just STOP is for him to knock himself out in such a deep sleep... or in other words become unconscious. When in these scary moments most people's immediate reaction is to 'fight or flight'.  In that moment it doesn't cross his panicked mind about dosage or what amount is taken...  Since he's unable escape by fleeing, the only alternative  he feels he has left is for him to drug himself into an unconscious state at any & all costs. And the "at any costs" are what have ended up with my Husband To- Be's  unresponsive body having to be dragged from my car by paramedics, ambulances showing up at our house rushing him to the ER, even to the point of him being  put on a ventilator because he was not breathing on his own and the Dr.s placing him in a medically, induced coma from ingesting so much substances. The crazy part is some Dr.'s have even given him "the okay" & medically clear him good to go after these incidents before he is even able to stand up from the hospital bed & walk on his own. We've visited multiple hospitals over the last year; every single one basically pushes him out the door just after 4-6 hrs because they discover he does not have health insurance. Once they learn of that they really do not even express concern or act like they want to help us. Even the county hospitals start pushing us towards an exit after just 2-3 hrs of being in their care.    It is a joke to receive any form of genuine medical help unless you have a big stack of cash, in hand, upon arrival or have healthcare coverage. My Fiancé, is at the point to where it is too dangerous and risky for detox to be attempted at home, without doctors and medical supervision & assistance. If there were any other outlets le
