Tre's kidney transplant

In September 2015, my 3 year old niece Alexis, was diagnosed with a rare, incurable disease called aHus (atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome). Unfortunately, treatment was started too late, and the disease compromised her organs very quickly. We lost Lexi January 22, 2016. My sister dealt with this loss with amazing strength. She had no choice. She had 3 other children that depended on her, and one on the way. In fact, merely a week after Lexi's funeral, Laura delivered her brother, Tre.
Fast forward to December 2017, less than a year later, Tre was diagnosed with the same rare condition as his sister, Lexi. They were able to act swiftly, knowing how to treat the condition, but we as a family knew what we were facing. My sister remained a warrior through it all, going to the same hospital regularly to have her baby treated, meeting with the same doctors.
In the Fall of 2018, the disease began rapidly progressing and Tre started showing signs of kidney failure. The doctors and staff at CHKD did amazing work to get Tre on dialysis and after weeks in the hospital treating an infection, he was able to go home. Laura managed to be at his side everyday through this, for every infusion or dialysis treatment, while still managing to work and take care of her other kids.
With two compromised kidneys, we began to talk about kidney donation, as soon as Tre was healthy enough to receive one. In a miraculous turn of events, Tre's health improved enough that he was a candidate. Not only that, but our other sister, Megan, was screened as a potential donor and was a perfect match. So perfect in fact, that the doctors had to check multiple times that it was accurate.
So for some good news. Both my sister (Megan) and Tre have been cleared for surgery, and the kidney transplant is scheduled for April 30, 2019. Tre will spend at least a week in the hospital, along with special care afterwards. My sister, Laura, plans to somehow find time to work during this week and beyond, because she really doesn't have much of a choice. I would like to raise enough funds for her to take a week or two off work so she can be with her son while he recovers.
Any amount will help her family and will be most appreciated. And if you can't donate, please just say a prayer for Tre (and Megan) for a successful transplant, and for Laura, as she will be experiencing so many conflicting emotions staying in the same PICU that treated Lexi.
