Travis Christopher Saferite, known to many of his friends as ‘Travis Christ’, was ADORED by Family and Friends and all who knew him...
...but now he is gone
A senseless loss we will never understand.
Travis was a loving son and brother who will truly be missed. He cherished being of service to others, especially the elderly, sharing an extraordinary connection with the older generation. It brought great joy to my heart each time I was commended by others for having such a thoughtful, caring and respectful son.
His wish for his final destination on this earth was to be scattered to the winds over the Grand Canyon, which is what I intend to do as my final act of love for my youngest son...
His Grand Canyon request came as no surprise, knowing his passion for skydiving and other activities that got his adrenaline flowing.
In honor of Travis's wishes:
We have made arrangements with Jamie from A Journey With Wings for a number of family members to participate in a private ash scattering flight over the Grand Canyon West , with additional family and friends observing from an observation point below.
A final chance to show Travis how extraordinarily special he was to so many that will miss him in their lives, forever. This is the only gift that I can give my son...

I can’t thank you enough for your kind and caring heart; your generosity and willingness to help make this happen for Travis. He was my life throughout his childhood, and became my pride and joy as an adult. Losing him has left a void in my heart that feels much like the Grand Canyon.
You can help us to bring Travis to his final resting place by sharing my link to your Facebook Timeline. Travis touched so many lives in his short time on this earth.
Please help us to honor his wishes to be taken to the Grand Canyon as his final resting place.
Your generous donations will allow us to do something that couldn’t be done without you. I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you, for helping to cover some of the expenses incurred for cremation and the private flight with family members to scatter his ashes as well as the airfare, transportation and accommodations for 6 to 8 family members from 4 states to share in this final farewell to Travis.
