Travis Norton’s quality of life after SCI

Donation protected
At the end of May 2019 Travis Norton found himself ill with back pain and a high fever. Thinking it may have been from a bad sun burn  and possibly throwing his back out from doing landscaping/flooring he layed low at home. After about 6 days he found himself unable to walk and was rushed to the emergency room. It turns out he had a spinal abscess at his T6 level. He underwent surgery and spent until the end of august 2019 in the hospital/rehab. His overall quality of life since then hasn’t been great. He’s been diagnosed with a complete spinal cord injury from the T6 level, meaning from the chest down, meaning he doesn’t have any feeling from his chest down. Travis has struggled with normal activities of daily living including showering, dressing, being unable to drive to get to important appointments etc. We are now in the process of closing on a home that will need extensive renovations to aid with Travis’s quality of life. Renovations include ramps, doorway modifications, bathroom modifications and also helping him purchase a handicapped vehicle. There is no way of knowing if someday Travis may walk again, but in the mean time I would love to help him live his best life in the meantime. Any amount helps! Thanks for reading and donating!
