Travis Gmeiner Medical Fund

Travis was in his MMA class on friday July 14th and while wrestling, unfortunatey hurt his neck. That Saturday morning he got up and was driving to work where while driving to work, suffered a minor stroke which caused him to loose control of his car. Travis was very blessed not to have crashed during the minor stroke he was suffering. He was able to pull over and contact his wife Courtney, stating that he felt like he was going to die. Courtney called 911 and rushed to where he was parked. He was rushed to Mission Viejo Hospital in an ambulance where he was immediately admitted and was put in Surgical ICU where he had an angiogram. It showed he had a minor stroke due to a vertebral artery dissection. He was unable to have a stent put in because the artery was 100% blocked. His body is compensating and the blood flow to his brain is flowing. Healing will take time, per the Dr., 6 weeks of taking it slow and 6 months to heal and recover.
