Traveling To Del Rio to Provide Necessities

My birthday is September 28th and all I can currently think about is the images that have now spread throughout the internet of the treatment of Haitian immigrants at the US Border in Del Rio. This cannot be where we are in 2021 but unfortunately, it is and the disregard for human life is sad to see. I don't know the solution, but what I do know is these people are in need of the basics. While I can't personally do much, I and a few others will be traveling to San Antonio on Monday, September 27th, and Driving to Del Rio on Tuesday, September 28th to do as much as we can to give the folks at the border some Humanity. When we land in San Antonio we will rally up supplies inclusive of general meds, PPE, feminine care products, diapers, food, and clothing.

I personally have pledged $1000 and others have done the same external to this GoFundme. We will be on the ground for 1-2 days and will do as much as we can during that time. We will also document this effort. In addition, we have been given an AirBnb for our stay so that portion is covered. Any and all donations will go directly to procuring additional goods to support those stuck at the border. Only give what you can spare as we have no clue what the circumstances will be upon our arrival next Tuesday.
