Travel fund in honor of Sayan Gul

Sayan Gul just completed his undergraduate degree in cognitive science and computer science at UC Berkeley. He was on his way to the Annual Conference of the Cognitive Science Society for the presentation of his first cognitive science research paper when he had a heart attack and died suddenly. Sayan was incredibly enthusiastic about research, overflowing with ideas, and full of life.

Sayan excelled as a student and engaged earnestly and deeply with people and ideas. He transferred to Berkeley as a junior and went on to receive the departmental citation in cognitive science. Sayan was about to take the next step in his career, starting a PhD at Princeton.

Sayan’s friends, family, and colleagues are raising money for donation to the Cognitive Science Society to create a fund in Sayan's name that will support similarly exceptional undergraduates traveling to the conference to present research.
