Trauma surgery for Anna
Donation protected
Hello guys,
My name is Nataly, and I live in Brisbane for more than 1 year already with my twin sister Anna. We both live here on our student visas class 500.
On the 12/05 my sister was severely attacked by one of our housemates, an international student himself.
He broke her arm in 3 places with a metal broom. Tomorrow - 22.05.2020 she is having an urgent surgery in the Mater Hill Hospital in Brisbane.
The surgery is very complicated and involves putting metal plate and screws in her arm to fix the bone. The surgery is risky and complicated.
The police is involved in the case . We are going through a nightmare physically, emotionally and economically and being far from family and friends makes things way worse.
Our health insurance for international students will unfortunately cover only some part of the expenses due to the gap between the Medicare costs and the fees the doctors actually charge. The rest of the sum we will have to pay upfront by ourselves somehow, and the real expenses will be known only after the surgery and can get to a much higher final sum, alot than expected due to the cast required for 6 weeks after the surgery and long recovery process and physiotherapy.
Being international students we both lost our job on the 20.03.2020 due to Covid-19.
The last few days were a nightmare psychologically, physically, emotionally and economically for both of us.
If you can help me raise the sum required to heal my sister's hand I will be more than grateful.
Even $5 will help us a lot.
Thank you very much, I appreciate any help from the bottom of my heart.
