<div>Hola, me llamo Angel y soy papá de 3 niñas que sufren una enfermedad poco común llamada FIBROSIS QUÍSTICA. Aunque de nombre muchos podrían saber de ella, pocos son quienes realmente conocemos lo que es y lo que representa. La fibrosis quística es una enfermedad genética, crónica y degenerativa que afecta los pulmones, el sistema digestivo y otros órganos del cuerpo.

<div>Desafortunadamente, en México no contamos con recursos para un tratamiento oportuno que pueda incrementar la esperanza de vida. Existe un medicamento llamado Trikafta, que es un modulador genético que ayuda a frenar la enfermedad y el deterioro pulmonar que, muy a nuestro pesar, no está disponible en México, y tenemos que conseguirlo en países como Argentina, Brasil, Estados Unidos y Canadá.

<div>El tratamiento es muy costoso y se requiere de una toma mensual. Por esta razón, la Fibrosis Quística es una de las llamadas “enfermedad de los ricos”. Es por esto que queremos ser VISIBLES, no invisibles para las autoridades encargadas, para que todos estos niños guerreros que se aferran a vivir, pueda cumplir sus sueños y sus metas. Queremos más vidas, no una vida menos; queremos ser ESCUCHADOS, y queremos un tratamiento oportuno para tener calidad de vida. Mientras tu respiras sin pensar, un paciente con Fibrosis Quística PIENSA EN RESPIRAR.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, chronic and degenerative disease that affects the lungs, digestive system and other organs of the body.

<div>Unfortunately, in Mexico we do not have access to a timely treatment that can increase life expectancy. There is a medication called Trikafta, which is a genetic modulator that helps slow the disease and pulmonary deterioration. However, much to our regret, it is not available in Mexico and we have to get it from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, the United States and Canada.

<div>The treatment is very expensive and requires a monthly dose. For this reason, Cystic Fibrosis is one of the so-called "disease of the rich”, since only those with financial resources can access treatment. We want to change that. We want to be VISIBLE, not invisible for the authorities in charge, so that all these warriors who fight everyday to breath and cling to life, can fulfill their dreams and goals. We want more lives, not one less life; we want to be HEARD, and we would like access to timely treatment and quality of life. While you breathe without thinking, a patient with Cystic Fibrosis THINKS ABOUT BREATHING.
