<div>Hace poco nos dieron este diagnóstico tan doloroso y desde entonces nuestra vida cambió. A papá le realizaron una Ileostomía derivativa, posterior a eso se le dio inicio a tratamiento de quimioterapia con esquema Xelox por 8 ciclos, al cuarto ciclo se le realizó tomografía control en la cual se evidencio mayor número y tamaño de lesiones hepáticas, aunque reducción de lesión en colon se evidenció PROGRESIÓN DE ENFERMEDAD, lo cual amerita un cambio en el tratamiento de Quimioterapia, medicamentos, constantes estudios médicos y exámenes de laboratorio, así como también el mantenimiento de la ileostomía (base de estoma, bolsa de estoma, crema o sello de barrera) lo cual es demasiado costoso para nuestra familia, tomando en cuenta que ya veníamos sobrellevando un gasto con el tratamiento anterior, lo cual se sale por completo de nuestro presupuesto y posibilidades.

<div>Mi papá es un hombre trabajador, lleno de vida y con muchas ganas de seguir adelante. Siempre ha sido un ejemplo de esfuerzo y amor para todos nosotros. Hoy nos toca pedir apoyo para que tenga la oportunidad de recibir el tratamiento completo que necesita y así poder superar esta enfermedad, ya que estamos en Venezuela y la situación país en el sector salud y economía están muy deterioradas y como dijimos el tratamiento es muy costoso.

<div>Hello, my name is Mary Carmen Rengifo, and I'm creating this campaign to help my father, Juan Carlos Rengifo González, who is battling ST IV transverse colon cancer.

<div>We recently received this painful diagnosis, and since then, our life has changed. Dad underwent a diverting ileostomy, after which he began eight cycles of chemotherapy with Xelox. During the fourth cycle, a follow-up CT scan was performed, which showed an increased number and size of liver lesions. Although the colon lesions had shrunk, disease progression was evident. This warrants a change in treatment: chemotherapy, medications, ongoing medical and laboratory tests, as well as ileostomy maintenance (stoma base, stoma bag, cream, or barrier seal). This is too costly for our family, considering we were already carrying expenses with the previous treatment, which is completely beyond our budget and possibilities.

<div>My father is a hard-working man, full of life and eager to move forward. He has always been an example of effort and love for all of us. Today we ask for support so he can have the opportunity to receive the full treatment he needs and overcome this illness. We are in Venezuela and the country's health and economic situation is very deteriorated, and, as we said, treatment is very expensive.
