<div>I had a medical emergency in 2020, and stayed in the hospital for about a week. This was a poor financial decision, but I really needed it.

<div>This debt finally defaulted, and now my wages are being garnished as of August 16th. This is bad timing as I am late with rent as well and on the same day received an eviction warning from my landlord, was denied a 7 dollar promotion at work after weeks of consideration, and broke my glasses. The last one isn't so major but STILL. The reason I've increased my goal from $9000 to $12000 is to account for the legal fees I now owe, plus back pay to my landlord. I'm super sorry...

<div>I am a composer who works with VTubers and mods for paradox interactive games, like Hearts of Iron IV, Europa Universalis IV, and Stellaris. In fact, I'm most well known for my contributions to The New World Order: Last Days of Europe, with songs like Remembering Moscowvien, Smoke and Mirrows, Vassal, and another hour or so of music.

<div>Working on music is a joy, it's my passionate, and every day i see others appreciate it, as a personal gift/commission, or as part of a project, my world grows ever brighter.

<div>Unfortunately in 2020, at the height of covid, I was working for a meat packing plant. The company decided we needed to work mandatory overtime, 12 hours a day for 13 consecutive days for about three months. The experience was extremely mentally traumatizing for me. On top of being physically exhausted and not being able to connect to my roommates or family or do anything fun after work, I saw coworkers fall over and stop breathing on the assembly line, and other such horrifying incidents. I unfortunately suffered a mental break down and had to be hosilpitilized, and later lost my job, though not directly because of this incident. But rather because I over extended my covid leave due to the PTSD I didn't want to acknowledge.

<div>I went back to a large retail company and asked for my old job. They took me back for a different, lower paying one. It was a struggle, and my debt went unpaid until about 2023, when I secured a better job and with the help of you lovely folks, began paying down my debt.

<div>Then my partner was told their work contract wouldn't be renewed for a whole month... So now, still on the backfoot from that, my adhd brain forgot about a legal letter informing me I was being brought to court and I have been found in default and now am being garnished for the rest of my debt plus legal fees.

<div>So there is my long winded version... sorry for the wall of text! I just felt like I needed to explain myself, especially after a long period of not sending updates on go fund me. If you can help, I would appreciate it! If you can't, that's fine. It's a big world and everyone is struggling. So if you can share this around, I would also appreciate it. Even if I am super embarrassed about all this...

<div>Hello! My name is Veronica, but many might know me by my online handle, Wilzy. I love writing music for many projects like rpg games, podcasts, and am a composer for the popular Hearts of Iron IV mods, The New Order: Last Days of Europe, and Equestria at War.

<div>All funds raised will be applied directly to my debt collector, and any funds raised beyond that goal (which I doubt would happen), will contribute to my transition, namely for my legal name change, which will be pricy in the state I live in.
